Just under a month after negotiations hit a snag with Kaizer Chiefs, Nasreddine Nabi is set to be appointed as head coach elsewhere on the continent.

It has since been revealed that Nabi and Chiefs had an agreement on certain terms, but a crucial factor led to the move stalling and falling through at the 11th hour.

It all started with Nabi himself confirming that he was, indeed in talks with Chiefs on Sunday and that a decision on his future would be made in 58 hours. The next day, further reports came out claiming that the Amakhosi hierarchy were upset at the Tunisian tactician because a lot of their negotiations were being leaked to the public.

As the week continued, the reports started to look more and more unfavourable for Nabi and Chiefs as it was said that the club had decided to snub him and go for a different candidate. That candidate was Mamelodi Sundowns assistant coach Manqoba Mngqithi. That, in itself would have come as quite a surprise, considering the fact that Mngqithi’s agent Mike Makaab had previously come out saying that the club were happy to keep his client at least until the end of his contract with them in 2024.

Then last week Wednesday the big shock came and hit the South African Football fraternity with Ntseki getting the position. Earlier this week, this publication reported that Nabi turned down Chiefs because they were unwilling to agree to his request to have his own coaching staff. Now according to FARPost the Tunisian is set to sign for recently crowned Moroccan champions AS Far Rabat.
NABI SET TO SIGN FOR AS FAR RABAT
“FARPost can confirm that Nabi has since settled for recently-crowned Botola Pro champions AS Far Rabat. He is set to replace Mohammed Aziz Samadi, who guided AS FAR to the Moroccan title a fortnight ago as a caretaker mentor.” Wrote the publication.

The publication also goes on to claim that Nabi could be announced by AS Far Rabat as early as next week.
