Kaizer Chiefs are reported to be on the verge of signing Colombia striker Efmamj Jasond Gonzalez on loan from Real Santa Cruz.

Real Santa Cruz is currently campaigning in the Bolivian Premira Division, and they are currently fifth on the log with 34 points from 20 games.
And while Gonzalez was born in Colombia, he decided to come out of his comfort zone and ply his trade in Bolivia which is over 5 000 km from his home country.

WHO IS KAIZER CHIEFS-BOUND JASOND GONZALEZ?
Gonzalez was born in Arboletes, Colombia in 1999, meaning he’s 24 this year. He plays as a centre-forward and stands at 1.89 meter tall.

The lanky striker started his development at Atletico Nacional before moving to San Lorenzo where he was promoted in 2020.
Upon his promotion, Gonzalez was loaned out to Argentine clubs All Boys for his first taste of professional football.

Gonzalez would later move to Colombia to join Real Santa Cruz, and he’s netted eight goals in 16 matches for them this season.
It is also worth mentioning that Gonzalez has picked up a lot of yellow cards coupled with a few reds in his career, meaning Chiefs fans should brace themselves for a tough striker.

His last red card came in the first half of Real Santa Cruz’s 2-0 win over Nacional Potosi on 19 May 2023, and that was followed by a number of yellow cards.
