In a highly anticipated match between Kaizer Chiefs and TS Galaxy, it was the latter who emerged as the victors with a hard fought 1-0 win.
A DISPLAY OF TECHNICAL SKILLS
The first half of the match was a display of technical skills, with end-to-end action from both sides.
Kaizer Chiefs had a couple of opportunities to take the lead, including a well-executed pass from Reeve Frosler to Ranga Chivavario, who was unfortunate not to find the back of the net.
Another chance fell to Kaizer Chiefs through Christian Saile, who narrowly missed after a high-press move.
MISSED GOAL SCORING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE FIRST HALF
Both teams created scoring chances but were unable to convert them into goals. TS Galaxy managed to penetrate the box on several occasions but lacked the clinical touch required to find the back of the net. However, their efforts were rewarded in the second half.

AMAKHOSI HEAD COACH ADMITS DISAPPOINTING PERFORMANCE
On the other hand, Kaizer Chiefs’ coach, Molefi Ntseki, admitted that his team did not perform at their usual level of sharpness and aggression in the match, saying, “We did not look sharp as we usually do, we were not aggressive in our attack, and we were second in everything.”
He expressed concern about the team’s start to the season, which has seen them pick up only one point from three games. Ntseki acknowledged the need for improvement, particularly in offensive strategies and on-field communication.
While it is still early in the season, this result serves as a wake-up call for Amakhosi, who will need to regroup and address their shortcomings as they turn their focus onto their next home game against Usuthu on Saturday evening.
