The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed countries that will host the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for 2025 and 2027.

CAF ANNOUNCES AFCON 2025 AND 2027 HOSTS
On Wednesday, CAF announced Morocco as the hosts for the 2025 edition of the AFCON finals – they were strong favourites.

Furthermore, three East African countries will have the honour to host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, and they are Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

It is also worth mentioning that the four countries were voted for by AFCON organisers and CAF members on the day.

GUINEA STRIPPED OF AFCON RIGHTS, ALGERIA WITHDRAWS
Guinea were initially voted as the hosts for the 2025 showpiece but they were stripped of the tournament due to concerns over infrastructure and facilities.

Algeria then entered the race to host both the 2025 and 2027 AFCON editions but they withdrew on the eve of the voting.
