Kaizer Chiefs fans are divided as they react to the arrival of new Colombian hitman Efmamjjasond, saying the club must groom him.
Kaizer Chiefs fans are divided as they welcome new Colombian hitman Efmamjjasond, as some say he must be groomed and not turned into a cow.
Chiefs announced the arrival of a new hitman, Efmamjjasond Gonzales Palacios on Wednesday – he joins the club to solve their well-documented goalscoring problems.
While some Chiefs fans feel the hitman will unlock their ambitions as far as trophies are concerned, they are divided and some are doubtful he will do better under coach Molefi Ntseki.
This comes as Amakhosi are yet to taste a victory in the DStv Premiership after only registering a 0-0 draw against Chippa United.
In the other matches, Chiefs lost to Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy last weekend but they managed to reach the semi-finals of the MTN8.
FANS DIVIDED AS THEY WELCOME EFMAMJJASOND
The South African takes a look at the social media reactions from scores of Chiefs fans who are divided but are keen to see Efmamjjasond in action.“We welcome him to South Africa and also wish him everything of the best,” said Chiefs chairman Dr. Kaizer Motaung.
“If he is good, be rest assured, poor coaching will drop his standard soon. No player improves at Kaizer Chiefs due to the poor football the team plays. Billiat, Kokota Piano, Castro, Dolly, and many more dropped from being good to horrible. That’s Kaizer Chiefs in short.
“Thanks for the striker. Now you must have a coach. Ernst Middendorp must come back to organise the team to stop conceiving silly goals. Ntseki and Arthur must go.”
“Password to our wins has landed……welcome to the Amakhosi family.”
“Eish please don’t cowify him too. We have cowified Potsane, Mmodi, Mdantsane, even Castillo is slowly becoming a hornless bonsmara. I don’t know what is happening there at the village because players come to us as serious ballers only to turn into grazing calves. #Gothata”
WHO IS THE NEW CHIEFS STRIKER, FANS DIVIDED
As reported by this publication, the young hitman moves to Naturena from Real Santa Cruz who are campaigning in the Bolivian Premira Division, and they are currently fifth on the log with 34 points from 20 games.
And while Gonzalez was born in Colombia, he decided to come out of his comfort zone and ply his trade in Bolivia which is over 5 000 km from his home country.
