CHIEFS FINALISING MDAKA’S DEAL
Amakhosi management have identified the need to secure a new left-back.
“The team is still trying to get an experienced left back, as of now, they only have two left backs in Sifiso Hlanti and Happy Mashiane though (Edmilson) Dove can play there can also play there,” the source stated on SoccerLaduma
Therefore, Hlanti only has Mashiane (who is not primarily a left back) and Dove to cover for him if he is injured or suspended.
“So, they want to have Mdaka as another left back in the team. Yes, they have offered him a three-year contract but it is about 90% finalized as he is still the captain for the DDC team,” the report read on the same publication.
MASHIANE’S POSITION UNDER JEOPARDY
Mashiane does not appear to be a part of Ntseki and Amakhosi managements plans for this season. Firstly, Dove missed the start of the DStv Premiership season to date but Mashiane was still not selected by Molefi Ntseki.

This is unlikely to change with Dove returning and Mdaka set to earning a three-year deal with the senior side. Furthermore, with Mashiane available, management were looking for another left-back. Therefore, Mashiane is likely to be loaned out or possibly even axed. The former option is more likely but we shall see.
