Amakhosi chairman Kaizer Motaung seems impressed and sold by the arrival of Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez.
Amakhosi brings in a lot of players into the team and let others leave every season and that’s normal for any club. This time around Chiefs chairman couldn’t hide his excitement when he welcomed Colombian striker Jasond Gonzalez recently. The chairman had special words for the Colombian, who previously played in Argentina and Bolivia before coming to Naturena on a loan deal.
The chairman is surprisingly sold on the idea of Jasond Gonzalez, saying that he’s exactly what the team has been missing all along. ” We wish him everything of the best. We know that he is a soldier, because he hits the ground running. As he comes now, he has no time to waste. He has to be ready to use his weapons right away”. Motaung said. The chairman’s words of trust make one feels as if he knows the player on a personal level or as if he has signed him before.

WILL GONZALEZ SUCCEED WHERE MANY STRIKERS FAILED TO LIVE UP TO EXPECTATIONS?
The Colombian comes as a relatively unknown entity, in as far as Kaizer Chiefs fans are concerned. He has a huge task ahead of him, which is to succeed where many good players have failed to shine. Latest ones include his country man Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat, Samir Nurkovic and many others who have since left the club. Fans will hope that Gonzalez is going to bring the goals they so desperately need to see the team scoring this season.
It is time for Gonzalez to show what he’s made of on the field of play, now that we are done with rolling the red carpet for him and welcoming him. It will be wise for him to watch videos of the likes of Pollen Ndlanya, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Jabu Pule, Thabang Lebese, Knowledge Musona and most importantly Collins Mbesuma, so he can understand exactly what it means to be a great striker at Kaizer Chiefs and the PSL.
