Kaizer Chiefs are in cruise control following their second successive win in the DStv Premiership.
Amakhosi defeated Stellenbosch FC 2-0 at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday night to move to fifth on the log behind rivals Orlando Pirates.
Goals from Pule Mmodi and Christian Saile gave Kaizer Chiefs all the three points but more importantly, confidence booster ahead of their crucial MTN8 semi-final clash against Mamelodi Sundowns. The two teams face off at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the first leg.

Sundowns have already beaten the Glamour Boys this season when they played in the league earlier in August. Goals from Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Neo Maema gave the Brazilians all the three points in Pretoria while Ashley Du Preez scored the one goal for Kaizer Chiefs.

Saturday’s match is a different ball game; Amakhosi are desperate to win silverware and will give it everything at home in the first-leg.

“The plans and preparations will obviously be going in to this first leg and the most important thing was to get maximum points today going into that game with a bit of confidence,“ said Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki when asked about the Sundowns game.
“Again, we need the points and it was a very good performance today to get us the points but now the focus will be thinking and planning for the MTN8,“ he was quoted on IOL.
