Kaizer Chiefs will be working on two key deals before the transfer window closes on Friday 22 September.
KAIZER CHIEFS WANT TO BEAT PIRATES TO MTHETHWA’S SIGNATURE
It might cost a pretty penny, but Chiefs are determined to get a deal over the line for Stellenbosch midfield enforcer Sibongiseni Mthethwa. Stellies CEO Rob Benadie sounds reluctant to sell, but a bidding war between Chiefs and Orlando Pirates might suit him just fine. Meanwhile, intriguingly, Amakhosi have taken Luke Fleurs on trial. He recently became a free agent after leaving SuperSport. Could the 23-year-old central defender turn out to be the shrewdest signing this window?
AMAKHOSI TO PROMOTE A TRIO OF YOUNGSTERS
Donay Jansen, the cousin of Amakhosi legend Bernard Parker, scored 12 goals in the Diski Challenge last term. He’s also already scored against Orlando Pirates this season. Janse, Puso Dithejane and Omega Mdaka are all tipped to be promoted to the first team at some stage or another.
Meanwhile, hit up James Freemantle for more insights, analysis and love for the beautiful game of football.
