The transfer window is shut but Kaizer Chiefs can still add playing personnel to their roster.
KAIZER CHIEFS IMPRESSED BY FLEURS
As is already widely known, versatile defender Luke Fleurs has been training at Naturena after becoming a free agent and leaving SuperSport United. The technical team are taking their time to make a definitive decision on whether to sign the 23-year-old because as a free agent, he can sign for any club of his choosing at any time.
“He has been doing very well at training and he has impressed the technical team. He is a good young player and they feel he can add value to the team,” the Siya source stated on SoccerLaduma.
“The coach knows him already but they had to look at him in training because it’s a different training environment from what he was used to at SuperSport United. So far he has done very well and that’s what has impressed the technical team,” he added.
MTHETHWA’S ARRIVAL SPELLS THE END FOR SITHEBE
Sibongiseni Mthethwa, a new arrival from Stellenbosch, is set to be the starting number 6 under Molefi Ntseki. Yusuf Maart and Edson Castillo were deployed alongside him in a midfield three against. It seems as though Siyethemba Sithebe is now far down the pecking order.
“You know there were talks to renew Sithebe for another year until June 2025 but since the team has signed Sibongiseni (Mthethwa), it doesn’t look good for Sithebe,” the Siya source reported on SoccerLaduma.
“The club would like to see him finish his contract but they won’t renew it. But also there is the possibility of him moving earlier than that if there are offers in January whether on loan or a permanent move,” they added.
