Kaizer Chiefs players are not having a break despite this being the first FIFA break, and that’s because Molefi Ntseki wants to work on his tactics.
According to information gathered by The South African website, all Amakhosi players are hard at work during this period except for one.
And that’s Pule Mmodi, who received a late call-up to replace Themba Zwane in the Bafana Bafana squad that will face both Namibia and the DR Congo.
Chiefs have four tough matches to play before the end of September, including a second leg MTN8 semi-final away to Mamelodi Sundowns.
Ntseki’s charges will be at home against Royal AM on 16 September, before facing SuperSport United four days later – both league games.
Chiefs will then travel to Lucas Moripe Stadium to face Sundowns in a do-or-die semi-final clash on 23 September before hosting Sekhukhune United on the 30th of this month.
And Ntseki, given the pressure and expectations from Chiefs fans, wants to use this break to sharpen his players for the tough task ahead.
NO HOLIDAYS FOR KAIZER CHIEFS PLAYERS
“There is no break for the players. The team is training hard as per Ntseki’s request. This is a great opportunity to work on his tactics,” a source told The South African.
“As you know, only Pule Mmodi is not in camp because of the late Bafana Bafana call-up, but the rest of the players are here,” concluded the source.
