These players are unlikely to earn any playing time this season for Kaizer Chiefs. They should consider leaving if they are to change this.

It is one thing being a Kaizer Chiefs player and taking home a comfortable pay-check.

However, while this is the dream of many young players growing up it is not the end goal. It is another thing warming up the bench and not playing at all. After all, the passion for the beautiful game stems from playing the game. So, if these players want to play in the PSL – or anywhere they will have to consider leaving Amakhosi.

FULL LIST OF CHIEFS PLAYERS WHO MUST LEAVE IF THEY ARE TO PLAY

  • Bruce Bvuma
  • Happy Mashiane
  • Sabelo Radebe
  • George Matlou
  • Wandile Duba

Bvuma has gone from being the back-up to Ronwen Williams at Bafana Bafana to becoming third-choice at Amakhosi. Brandon Peterson has been established as the first-choice keeper, Moreover, Amakhosi legend Itumeleng Khune is the back-up in the event that Peterson is unavailable.

Therefore, Bvuma will have to consider a move to another club if he is to reignite his dreams of playing for the national side.

Mashiane and Radebe have been linked with possible loan exits for several months. Mashiane and Radebe have struggled for minutes under Ntseki and this is unlikely to change anytime soon.

This is something both players will need to consider if they are to turn their fortunes around.

Currently, their fate spells out unlikely gametime with new signings pushing both men further down the pecking order. At left back, S’fiso Hlanti is the established primary option and Edmilson Dove his back-up.

Furthermore, Radebe sits behind the likes of Yusuf Maart, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, Edson Castillo, Samkelo Zwane and Teboho Potsane. The same can be said for Matlou although he has had a bit more gametime than the aforementioned players.

DUBA SHOULD CONSIDER LOAN MOVE

There is no doubt that Duba is an exciting prospect.

Having been promoted from the DStv Diski Challenge side, he made a handful of appearances last season, leaving fans excited about his future. However, under Ntseki, this has changed with Ashley Du Preez favoured alongside new recruit Ranga Chivaviro and Christian Saile upfront.
