Kaizer Chiefs have offered one of their talented midfielders a contract extension. Talk about making a U-turn.
A few months ago, George Matlou and his camp were demanding that he gets transfer listed.
Now, he has impressed the technical staff with Amakhosi management offering him a contract extension.

CHIEFS OFFER MATLOU CONTRACT EXTENSION
Matlou has just been offered a one-year contract extension.
“The technical team is happy with his attitude and performance this season and they are the ones who have recommended that he be kept at the team for at least a further year,” the report read on SoccerLaduma.

His current contract expires in June 2024. Therefore, he could extend his stay at Naturena until June 2025. Furthermore, his contract offer includes an additional one-year extension option. So, if he exercises this option he could stay at the Soweto giants until 2026.
“Management had decided to offer him that one-year contract plus a one-year option,” he added.
AMAKHOSI BUILDING A POTENT MIDFIELD
With the recent addition of Sibongiseni Mthethwa and the likes of Edson Castillo and Teboho Potsane, Amakhosi are building a quality midfield.
Moreover, they have Yusuf Maart, Samkelo Zwane and the likes of Siyethemba Sithebe available.
