Kaizer Chiefs looked toothless in attack without Ashley Du Preez as they lost 1-0 away at Mbombela Stadium to TS Galaxy on Sunday.
NO DU PREEZ, NO PARTY?
In-form striker Ashley Du Preez was absent for Chiefs because of a flu infection. The 25-year-old former Stellies star had scored in his last two outings, and the Glamour Boys looked toothless in attack without him. Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki opted for Tebogo Potsane, Ranga Chivaviro and Pule Mmodi in attack and the new-look front three failed to impress. It could also have been worse for the Glamour Boys, who were perhaps lucky not to concede a first-half penalty after Sifiso Hlanti appeared to handle in his box.
KAIZER CHIEFS GEAR UP FOR AMAZULU
Molefi Ntseki will hope to have Du Preez back for the visit of AmaZulu on Saturday 26 August. As it stands, Chiefs are still winless after three DStv Premiership matches this season, scoring just one goal in total. To make matters worse, they were outplayed by Galaxy for the majority of Sunday’s encounter.
