Kaizer Chiefs made it back-to-back victories in the DStv Premiership when they beat a 10-man Stellenbosch FC side at the Athlone Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Amakhosi won 2-0 thanks to a stunning long-range opening goal from Pule Mmodi in the 52nd minute, while DR Congo’s Christian Saile added a second in the 89th minute.
Stellies midfielder Devin Titus picked up a second yellow card in the 55th minute, reducing the hosts to 10 men for the final 35 minutes.
The three points saw Kaizer Chiefs move up to fifth place in the standings with seven log points after five matches.

Stellenbosch FC slipped to 11th spot with six points after a similar number of matches.

The Glamour Boys will next in in action in a blockbuster MTN8 semi-final first leg home match against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday, 2 September at 15:00.
Their next league assignment will be a home clash against Royal AM on Saturday, 16 September.
Kick-off in that match is at 20:00.
Meanwhile, Stellenbosch FC will also be in MTN8 semi-final first leg action this weekend when they host Orlando Pirates on Sunday, 3 September at 15:00.
The Winelands side’s next DStv Premiership match will be an away trip to KwaZulu-Natal to face Golden Arrows on Saturday, 16 September at 15:00.
