Kaizer Chiefs are working hard behind the scenes to get their house in order for the current season despite all the criticism from their fans.
The Amakhosi management started the process by demoting Arthur Zwane to the role of assistant coach and replacing him with Molefi Ntseki.
Well, the decision didn’t sit well with the majority of Chiefs fans, but it’s not going to change any time soon, meaning the disgruntled fans will have to live with it.
Now, Chiefs have moved to the playing personnel, and they have started with getting rid of those who will not form part of the squad next season.
The first player to leave Naturena was Erick Mathoho who had spent 11 years at the club, and he was followed by Siyabonga Ngezana.
Ngezana though was sold to Romanian giants Fotbal Club FCSB with an amount reported to be in the region of R12 million.
Chiefs further confirmed the departure of Phathutshedzo Nange, who has since joined SuperSport United to reunite with Gavin Hunt.
About a month ago, Chiefs announced they had gone separate ways with Cole Alexander after two years at the club, bring the of departures to four.
Austin Dube then followed soon after, also after two years at the club before Kgaogelo Sekgota departed to join Stellenbosch FC.
Khama Billiat Billiat has also left the club without even saying to become the seventh player to leave, and now Bonflis-Caleb Bimenyimana and Chiefs have parted ways.
Nine players have been signed. Pule Mmodi joined from Golden Arrows, Ranga Chivaviro arrived from Marumo Gallants while Given Msimango and Mduduzi Mdantsane were signed from TS Galaxy and Cape Town City respectively.
Furthermore, Edson Castillo arrived at Naturena four weeks ago alongside Tebogo Potsane who joined from Royal AM. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe was the first to join Chiefs from SuperSport United.
On Thursday, Chiefs officially announced the arrival of Colombian striker Efmamj Jasond González from Real Santa Cruz.
