The period was January 2021 with Amakhosi a few months away from lifting the league title. Maluleka’s contract with the Glamour Boys was up but Sundowns’ offer was just far better.

The Tembisa-born star, eventually made the switch to Tshwane while Chiefs choked on the final day of the season to gift Sundowns the league title.

Looking back at the move, Maluleka told Cape Talk that there’s no bad blood between him and Amakhosi.
“There’s never grudges. One thing you learn in football, especially football, is to never burn bridges,” the AmaZlulu star said.
“Despite how it happened, the separation between the two parties. They’ve done so much for me, Kaizer Chiefs, and I played my heart out for them.
“I know I left it all on the field for them,” Maluleka added.
