Peter Shalulile made a unique slice of MTN8 history with his quick-fire goal against Kaizer Chiefs.

ICYMI: Kaizer Chiefs signings are good in theory but matches aren’t won on paper

SHALULILE BLASTS KAIZER CHIEFS OUT OF THE MTN8

Namibian marksman Peter Shalulile was on hand to put the Brazilians ahead against Chiefs with just 10 seconds on the clock. With that strike, he scored the quickest goal in MTN8 history, surpassing Daine Klate’s goal after 34 seconds for Wits vs. Sundowns in the 2016 final. The brace against the Glamour Boys was Peter Shalulile’s 27th & 28th Cup goals for Sundowns, bringing him level with Themba Zwane for the most goals by a Sundowns player in Cup competitions in the PSL era.

AMAKHOSI BANG OUT OF FORM

The Glamour Boys have drawn blanks in each of their last two DStv Premiership matches, a 0-0 draw with Royal AM and a 1-0 defeat at SuperSport. In anyone’s book, that’s underwhelming form. Their next league outing is against Sekhukhune on the 27th so they don’t have much time to prepare. They’ve also somehow got to pick themselves up after exiting at the semi-final stage of the MTN8.

FIXTURES: Next six tests including Orlando Pirates
