Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki has downplayed a possible meeting that’s in the pipeline with Bafana Bafana mentor Hugo Broos.
Ntseki and Broos hogged the headlines over two weeks ago following comments by the Belgian that none of the current Chiefs players deserved a place in his Bafana Bafana squad.
Of course, Broos changed his mind about Chiefs players by calling up Pule Mmodi as a replacement for the injured Themba Zwane.
After all was said and done, Broos claimed he was misquoted by some media publications, adding that he would set up a meeting with Ntseki in October to set the record straight.
Now, Ntseki gave a vague answer when asked if he was keen to meet with Broos and iron out possible differences over the Bafana Bafana mentor’s comments.
NTSEKI VS BROOS: KAIZER CHIEFS COACH DIPLOMATIC OVER POSSIBLE MEETING
“As Kaizer Chiefs, we were very happy to see one of our top quality players (Pule Mmodi) being selected for Bafana,” said Ntseki.
“As for whatever happened, the most important thing is that we support our national team.
“I can only wish coach Hugo the best of luck going into AFCON,” concluded Ntseki.
