Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Matlou has made a promise to Amakhosi fans after a hot-and-cold start at Naturena.
Matlou joined the Glamour Boys at the beginning of last season from Swallows but despite showing glimpses of his talent, has struggled for consistency.
The 25-year-old midfielder has started four consecutive matches for Molefi Ntseki’s side.
The midfielder has since promised to give his best everytime he puts on a Kaizer Chiefs jersey.
KAIZER CHIEFS STAR READY TO SHINE!
“Of course, I didn’t have the best start last season, unfortunately, I go injured. Injuries were there for me last season but I just make sure that whenever I’m given a chance, I’m just going to use it. No matter how many minutes I play, what matters most is me playing, giving my best.” – Matlou told iDiskiTimes.
NTSEKI LOOKING AT THE POSITIVES
The most important thing is for us to understand the three types of results. We played this game looking to have a win, and when you don’t win the game, yes, you are disappointed, but you also look at the positives,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach said, as quoted by TimesLive.
“The positives are that we had very good ball possession, we had very good tactical movements going forward in shifting play and changing points of attack.
“And it’s hard work for the players to get into those goalscoring positions. It’s for them to understand our approach in attack.”
KAIZER CHIEFS ARE IMPROVING – RHULANI
“It’s going to be very difficult. Contrary to what the results may suggest. We are playing against a very good side, a very improved Chiefs team.” – Rhulani Mokwena said as quoted by IOL.
“We want to try to win every match at Mamelodi Sundowns. Regardless of whatever advantage or disadvantage we may have.”
