Kaizer Chiefs are in for a nightmare seven days, with matches against SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns awaiting.
These matches are all in the build up to the Springboks’ crunch Rugby World Cup match against Ireland next Sunday.
Springbok captain Siya Kolisi is an avid Chiefs fan, and though he’ll undoubtedly be tempted to watch the Glamour Boys! It’s probably better for him to ignore them for the rest of the week!
Kolisi himself admitted in the past, that his two favourite soccer teams in Liverpool and Kaizer Chiefs, have a major influence over his emotions.
This weekend’s lackluster draw against Royal AM would’ve already affected Siya Kolisi! Next up are matches against arguably the two top teams in the Premier Soccer League.
IT’S TOUGH WHEN KAIZER CHIEFS LOSE – SPRINGBOK CAPTAIN SIYA KOLISI
“I support Liverpool and Kaizer Chiefs! It is tough when they lose. We get it from people who know us, friends and family are also hurting. So, it’s understandable. It hurts me too, we’re here and playing on the field, and we’re playing the whole time to try and win the games.” – Springbok captain Siya Kolisi said in 2021 as quoted by IOL.
In other news, former Orlando Pirates attacker Bernard Morrison has completed a move to Botola Pro Champions AS FAR Rabat.
The 30-year-old Ghanaian star signed a one year contract at the Moroccan giants, with an option to extend by one more season.
Morrison spent two seasons at the Buccaneers better 2016 and 2018 where he made 23 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
