KAIZER CHIEFS BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE
Samkelo Zwane, still just 21, was a key figure in the Chiefs midfield last term, making 12 league appearances and 16 across all competitions.
Here is what the SoccerLaduma source said:
“What I can tell you is that it’s a long-term deal. Just like that of Mduduzi Shabalala.”
“They want to keep these youngsters in the team for a long time. They have grown up at the club and know the culture, it’s good to have such players in the team.”
“It’s apparently a five-year deal that will see him remain at the club until 2028. They are happy with him and they want to make sure he stays on long.”

ZWANE IS THE FUTURE OF THE GLAMOUR BOYS
Chiefs seem to be continuously linked with holding midfielders. Since Njabulo Blom departed for the MLS, it has been an area of concern for Amakhosi management. It appears as though the technical team are ready to invest heavily in the talents of young Samkelo Zwane. His talent is not in question, but if he operates as a”6″ then he’ll need to constantly improve on the defensive aspects of the role. His passing range is superb though.
