Cape Town City have described their Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in the DStv Premiership as being “flavoured crisps that have 3 points.”
The Citizens beat Chiefs 1-0 at FNB Stadium courtesy of Khanyisa Mayo’s second-half flying header at the back-post.

Mayo leapt to meet Darwin Gonzales’s left-flank cross in the 56th minute. The goal had City coach Erick Tinkler smiling.
Amakhosi suffered the defeat a few days after launching their brand of chips. Were City perhaps referring to the Chiefs brand of chips?

ANY CONNECTION BETWEEN CHIEFS AND CHIPS?

The tweet added: “Cape Town City FC @CapeTownCity FC. Crisps that have 3 points.”

WHAT CHIEFS SAID ABOUT THEIR BRAND OF CHIPS
The Glamour Boys launched their brand of chips on the market last week, according to the club’s statement.
“With each bite, fans can now taste the audacious flavours that mirror the club’s indomitable spirit: Tomato, Grilled Steak, and Salt & Vinegar,” a statement from Chiefs read on October 2 2023.
Chiefs Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, told the club’s website that the chips resonate with the club’s identity.
“Our vision was clear—to deliver a snack range that embodies the boldness and vibrancy of the Kaizer Chiefs brand,” Motaung is reportedly saying.
“With these explosive flavours, we invite fans everywhere to get #Khosified and truly Fuel Your Passion.”
