Once upon a time at Naturena was a Zambian and he was incredible. Mbesuma, known as “Ntofontofo,” spent only one season and half to set an unbroken record.

The left-footed striker smashed 35 goals in one season as Amakhosi became PSL champions, before moving to Portsmouth in England in January 2005. His English adventure was not a success though.

Mbesuma was shippped to Maritimo in Portugal, before Bursaspor (Turkey) and then, surprise, surprise… he was back in Mzansi to wear Mamelodi Sundowns colours.
His move to Sundowns was not a success either before he became a journeyman: Moroka Swallows, Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates, Mpumalanga Black Aces and Highlands Park.
