Mduduzi Mdatsane’s start at Kaizer Chiefs has been less than stellar, with only ten appearances and two assists in the ongoing DStv Premiership campaign. Furthermore, he is yet to find the back of the net for The Phefeni Boys in the 23/24 season, leading to concerns about his impact on the field.

Call-Up Following Percy Tau’s Withdrawal

Mdatsane’s call-up to the national team came after Percy Tau, initially selected, withdrew due to personal reasons. Despite Mdatsane’s lack of game time, Coach Ntseki backed him as the ideal candidate and extended his congratulations for the national team call-up.

Support and praise from Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntsekii

Ntseki believes that all players at Kaizer Chiefs, both local and international, aspire to stand for their national teams.  He also sees Mdatsane’s call-up as a positive occurrence and asserts that the national team needs a player of his calibre.

He says, “I think with Mdu Mdatsane, what the national team coaches are looking for in their scouting is what Mdu Mdatsane can give to them,” As reported by FARPOST.

This recognition further solidifies Mdatsane’s talent and potential contributions.

Mutual Benefit between Kaizer Chiefs and National Team

Coach Ntseki acknowledges that Mdatsane’s experience playing for the national team will help Kaizer Chiefs. He highlights how it will enhance their game understanding and ability to manage the pressure associated with playing for the club. Ntseki expresses his well wishes for Mdatsane and the other selected players, hoping they perform exceptionally for their country.

Bafana Bafana is set to face Eswatini on October 13th, followed by a match against Ivory Coast on October 17th, 2023.

As fans eagerly anticipate his performance, both Kaizer Chiefs and supporters wish Mdatsane and the rest of the national team success in their upcoming matches.
