CASTILLO STEALS THE SHOW
In a relatively indifferent campaign for Chiefs so far, Edson Castillo has been one of the bright sparks. A winner in an MTN8 quarter-final clash is the perfect way to properly announce himself on this stage, and he’ll no doubt be eager to produce more eye-catching displays. Aside from the goal, fans and pundits have been impressed by the calm, composed midfield play he’s brought to the party. Is he the long-term solution to their problems in the heart of the battle? At 29, he’s hardly a spring chicken, but there are surely at least a handful of years left in the tank at the highest level.

KAIZER CHIEFS MOVE FOR CELE PUT ON HOLD?
Chiefs are not the only team keen on signing deep-lying midfield maestro Thabo Cele. Morocco’s AS FAR Rabat, Sekhukhune United, AmaZulu and MLS side St Louis City SC are just a few of the teams also keen. St. Louis City are especially ironic, given they have former Glamour Boys midfield favourite Njabulo Blom on their books. Will the Glamour Boys rethink any potential move now considering Castillo’s form?
