Amakhosi won 3 points for the first time this season and fans are hoping that this is the beginning of better things to come from their team.
The win against Usuthu is exactly what the fans needed, after demoralizing loses against Champions Mamelodi Sundowns and later TS Galaxy. Coach Molefi Ntseki and his troops, did turn things around at home, leaving with points and 3 goals in the bag for the first time this season. New recruit Pule Mmodi’s double plus Edson Castillo’s strike ensured that Chiefs fans would have a pleasant weekend.
Molefi Ntseki is relieved, as his front line is showing signs of being capable of delivering the goods when needed most. Ntseki says that the goals against Usuthu comes as a morale booster and they prove that his forwards can actually score goals. The spotlight fell on new signings Pule Mmodi from Sundowns and Edson Castillo. Ntseki also warned Mmodi to keep his feet on the ground. ” We brought in Pule Mmodi with a clear understanding that he’s a great player, but then we always say to new players that Chiefs is a different beast” Ntseki said after the game.

FANS NOW EXPECT KAIZER CHIEFS FORWARDS TO KEEP ON SCORING
The question now that the coach and his players needs to answer is: Can fans expect such a performance from the front line week in and week out moving forward? Ntseki believes that the team is solid enough at the back, which is crucial and that should help his strikers know that at least when not winning they are not losing too.” We have been solid in defense and midfield but the we needed more aggression in the last third and I think Pule Mmodi raised his hands and everything fell into place and he managed to score”, Ntseki said after the match.
Fans will be hoping that Chiefs will build on their win against Usuthu, so that they can stay closer to the teams at the top of the log, while also going out to try and win in the cup competitions as well.
