A former Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach has confirmed receiving calls from local clubs and those that are abroad for his services.
Shaun Bartlett is currently unemployed following his sacking by Cape Town Spurs about two weeks ago, but he’s yet to decide his next move.
Speaking to iDiski Times, Bartlett revealed that a number of clubs have inquired about his availability but he hasn’t signed with anyone.
According to local reports, Pretoria Callies are among the strong favourites to rope in Bartlett as their head coach for the current campaign.

“I haven’t signed with any club. I’m still at home with my family,” said Bartlett.
“There has been calls from the country and abroad, but nothing confirmed yet.
“Also, I’m a man of family. I must think of them on whatever decision I’m taking.”

And that’s because he’s managed to successfully promote two different teams from the NFD to the PSL.
In 2016, Bartlett helped Golden Arrows return to topflight football by winning automatic promotion but he was soon afterwards not given a contract.

In June 2023, Cape Town Spurs gained promotion to the PSL via the playoffs under the tutelage of Bartlett.
However, the 50-year-old was fired after seven consecutive defeats in the PSL – and perhaps Pretoria Callies believe he can help them win promotion.
